Furthermore, several other educational institutions like the International University of Thessaloniki and the ATEI technological institute have their base in Thessaloniki or suburban areas around the city.

From the first moment you’ll visit Thessaloniki you will soon understand why this city is considered one of the best places in Europe from the majority of the college students both local and foreign. The city’s center is full of life following the rhythm of the vibrant college communities! There are literally hundreds of places to discover whether you’d like to have a coffee, drink or dinner, while inside the campus many concerts and events take place almost on a weekly basis!

The distances are relatively small considering that the majority of the most important and popular destinations lie within a small walkable range to each other. Most importantly, although Thessaloniki is not the ideal bike friendly destination, there are some certain bicycle paths that will help you a lot if you use a bicycle. Thessaloniki’s waterfront can be considered a really good solution for going into the center within a few minutes!

In addition, low cost flights to and from many European destinations are available, while the prices for renting a good house have been greatly reduced during the last few years! Finding the right apartment nowadays is much easier than ever before even to the center of the city or next to the campus!
